Pole Position, Leeds Indoor Go Karting Experience

If you have had enough of Cinema visits and crowded play areas then Pole Position Indoor Karting can offer you a thrilling alternative.

I visited Pole Position last week with my husband and 2 children, slightly apprehensive but excited.

When we arrived we were greeted by very friendly staff that helped us make our own Licences and then we were shown to the dressing rooms were we put on extremely fetching Racing outfits.

My son Jake was first up in the junior karting for drivers between 8 and 15, after a full safety briefing, kart control tests and racing line tips he was on ready for a 20 minute race on circuit.

After his race they were taken through to the induction room for a de brief where he was awarded his race certificate.

In his race pack he got 30 free race credits towards his next race.

All this is available for £30.00 per child and the smile it puts on their face is well worth it.

Next up on the circuit was 14 Adults and you could smell the testosterone from the men a mile off.

After a briefing we were shown to our Karts and ready to race, I have never experienced such a rush of adrenaline like it.

I thought I was going really fast but people still kept whizzing past me which I was told afterwards by my eldest son “that’s because people were at least a lap ahead of me”, in my defence I was the most careful driver out there or “Sunday Driver” as my husband called me.

I really enjoyed the experience but feel once was enough for me yet my eldest son and Husband on the other hand were already planning there next trip before we had even left the building.

Pole position would be an ideal venue for a Birthday Party, Stag Do or just for a treat for the kids.

Birthday parties start from £30 per head for a Junior Karting Lesson (min 4 people)
