New Mamas & Papas Store Trinity Centre Leeds
CELEBRITY parents joined bosses of Huddersfield-based nursery goods firm Mamas & Papas for the opening of a new flagship store in West Yorkshire.
Directors Olivia Robinson and Amanda Scachetti cut the ribbon to open the store at the new Trinity Shopping Centre in Leeds.
Guests attending included TV presenter Sarah Cawood and couple Angelica Bell and Michael Underwood.
Olivia and Amanda are the daughters of David and Luisa Scachetti, who founded Mamas & Papas 32 years ago.
Customers were treated to complimentary manicures in the store and plenty of friendly staff were on hand to help any mums to be and new mums with any questions they had on any products or just for advice and support.
Although my children are older I was amazed at how things had changed so much since I was pregnant.
My biggest shock was the Maternity clothes, the selection of Maternity clothes Mamas and Papas have to offer are stylish, look extremely comfortable and are made from super soft and high quality fabric.
To help expectant mums know how they may look in there chosen outfit in a couple of months further into their pregnancy there is even a bump you can try on to see just how that outfit might look and would it still fit in the size they are trying on, Genius!
I was given a very thorough guided tour of the store and all the fantastic products on offer by Holly who had moved to the new store from the Batley Mamas and Papas.
I was particularly impressed by the Baby Wish List service, Wish Lists are like Wedding Gift Lists or Registries; they enable you to set-up a list compiled of nursery/baby and toddler products that you would like to receive. This benefits both the parents as well as the gift-giver, as it ensures that the parents do not receive duplicate gifts and that the gift-giver purchases a truly valued present.
They definitely didn't have anything like this when I was pregnant!

You can also book a one to one consultation that can last up to two hours and get help with Car seat fitting,Pushchair advice, Maternity bump fitting,Fashion ,Nursery & Furniture advice .
Another fantastic service the store offers is the Nursery Room Sets, With up to ten room sets in store, they help you visualise your
dream nursery. The nursery advisors can also guide you through the options so you create a space that's perfect for your baby.
For your total convenience, you can secure any item with a 25% deposit. Then simply make the remaining payments when it suits your pocket. All we ask is that the full amount is paid 28 days before your delivery date or on collection from the store.
I had such a fantastic day at the opening and even had my nails painted as a bonus, I am very excited with my new knowledge of baby products as I have just found out my sister is 7 weeks pregnant so I will be shopping here from now on.
Midwives Gail Wright and Eleanor Smith, who have featured on Channel 4 TV’s One Born Every Minute – a fly-on-the-wall series based in Leeds hospitals – were presented with a £1,000 donation towards their work at Leeds General Infirmary.
