Until I was sent the Gigaset Touchscreen home phone to review I was happily plodding along using a regular handset.
I was not even aware such advanced phones were available on the market.

The Gigaset SL910A has an amazing design it really does look slick in your home, The screen and handset are a real plus because they are just the perfect size.

Although for the first week I did keep misplacing the phone as it looks more like a mobile phone, and do not get me started on what happened when I tried to show my mum how to use it! 
So would not advise purchasing for anyone of a certain age or complete Technophobes.

Well, firstly with this phone you can have pictures of your family on display, which is great especially in small spaces as you no longer need lots of dust collecting photo frames.
With the phones Blue tooth connection or by uploading your pictures from the PC using the USB connection, You can sync all your contacts from Outlook onto this amazing piece of kit. 
Showing off pictures of your kids or your latest holiday snaps in a fun and modern way. 

How about your contact telephone numbers?

I have already found this phone particularly useful when asking my husband to contact a couple of places because even he can find the number's straight away. Not only can you save your contacts to different categories but you can also save people's birthdays for your own little reminder, now this is a must for the man in your life as I know my husband is hopeless at remembering my birthday.  

How about a photograph of each contact?

well, again you can do this too so there is no need to take a look at the number that is calling ,instead you can have your friends or parents face pop up on screen to alert you it's them trying to call.
For me this works the best when the in-laws are trying to contact us!
It is also great to put a really unflattering photo on there for fun.

Not only does the Gigaset SL910A have all those amazing features but you can also use the phone for voice mail which has 55 minutes of recording space.  

Not only that but you can also receive text messages direct to the handset, brilliant.

The phone also shows missed calls which are neatly displayed on the home screen.

You can also use this phone for room monitoring so by buying a pair you could potentially use these as a children's or baby monitor, now that is a major selling point as some of the baby monitors out there cost as much as a pair of these phones.
