LEGO Store Grand Opening Celebration Trinity Center Leeds 17th - 19th May

LEGO Store Grand Opening Celebration 17th - 19th May

If I could recommend one place to visit in Leeds this weekend it could only be the Lego store in Leeds, which is located inside the brand new Trinity center.

I visited the store today with my son Jake to take part in the celebrations.

Jake was very excited when he received an invitation in the post, better still if you handed in your invitation the first 200 people received a Lego Chima Speedorz set.

In store there was plenty of activities to occupy all ages, You could play and test out the new Lego Chima, with a selection of toys out to play with and even battle the staff with ( be aware they are pretty good ).

If your little one loves a treasure hunt they can try and find the Lego Leeds Owls that are hidden around the store, when you have found all the Owls you even receive a prize, I will not spoil the fun by telling you what the prize is,although I think you can probably guess it is Lego themed!

Whilst there you must stop and take 5 minutes to learn how to make a Lego springy build without springs, I am still baffled by how this was done.

There is still more fun to be had outside the store in the shopping mall, Where Lego have set up a building area.sign up for your Free half hour slot and help your child build whatever they fancy to be put out on display for all to see.
Younger Lego fans can also have fun in the Lego Duplo area, with plenty of Lego Duplo bricks and animals to keep them happy.
Staff are on hand at all times to help and inspire.

When you register your child to play in the Lego area they are given a wristband , which also doubles up as 10% off purchases in the store .
After having fun building, Jake headed back to the Lego store to receive his personalised Lego certificate.

All this fun and all for free, which is very rare these days!
If you are wanting to make a purchase and you are one of the first 300 on each day to spend over £25.00 you will receive a free gift, There are different gifts to collect each day.

These gifts are very special, So special I couldn't believe it at first.

On Friday the first 300 to spend over £25.00 received this special Lego Leeds T-shirt.

On Sunday the first 300 people to spend over £25.00 will  receive this special Lego Leeds Mini figure trio.

These are even numbered out of 300 & are extremely collectible

Hints & Tips for the Weekend

Arrive early if you are wanting to be one of the first 300 to spend £25.00 and receive one of the three special gifts.

If you are visiting with children and just want to have fun and take part in the activities, avoid visiting in the morning as I predict it will be very busy.
The final word goes to Jake:

'I had a fantastic day today at the Lego store in Leeds, I cannot wait to show my friend Kirk everything I  learnt today from the staff in the shop.
I really enjoyed taking part in the hunt for the Lego Owl's and love my Lego Chima set I won and I am wearing my special Lego Leeds T-shirt'.
