Harvester @ White Rose, Leeds Review

I arranged a family meal at Harvesters White Rose to celebrate my mother’s birthday
On arrival we were seated extremely quickly (we had however already booked a table) our waitress Maria promptly came to take our drinks orders and left us to ponder over the massive selection of meals on the menu.
The variety of food on offer is outstanding, from tasty grills, steaks, burgers and plenty of Chicken.
There are five different Vegetarian choices and not just lettuce & lentils but really tasty looking vegetarian meals.
For the younger quests they are three options for the younger dinner a choice of seven main meals complete with a side from a choice of five different types of potatoes & baked beans or corn on the cob and visits to the salad bar as often as you like.
For smaller appetites a choice of four mains or include a My 5 fruit shoot or smoothie and a dessert for only £6.49
I opted for just salad at £3.99 and Maria brought me a large plate over so I could fill it to my heart’s content, I added a sampler of sides at £2.49 which comprised of breaded mushrooms, garlic bread and onion rings.
My boys both opted for the Harvester Burger from the early bird all day menu, a flame grilled 6oz 100% beef burger served with seasonal fries priced at £5.29.
My mother choose a 7oz Gammon steak served with a choice of egg or pineapple or both, she choose to have it with pineapple jacket potato garden peas & half tomato and plenty of fresh free salad from the salad bar priced at £5.89 a 12oz Gammon steak is also available at £8.99.
My Father choose the mixed grill, A thick piece of rump steak, bacon streak, chicken breast, a pork sausage served with a fried egg, half tomato, beer battered onion rings, fresh garden peas and complimentary rolls and butter and if you can squeeze it in a trip to the salad bar.
This dish is recommended by Harvester and from the plate of food that arrived I can see why! And a bargain at £9.99.
My husband opted for the 7oz Fillet steak at £15.99 which was recommended to him by Maria.
We all chose soft the “ultimate refill” soft drinks at “2.29 each this was a hit for the kids & also for the parent’s pockets as my children drink like fish.
After such a huge hearty meal deserts really were not needed but they looked so tempting it was rude not to try one.
We all opted for different sundaes all big enough to serve two and priced at £3.99 each, we all sat passing around the spoons trying each other’s and deciding which one we were going to have on our next visit.
We left so full, extremely satisfied and ready for an afternoon nap!
I would highly recommend Harvesters for a good hearty honest meal, great for families, great on the pocket, amble free parking, comfy sofa areas in the bar, friendly service, light and airy new conservatory area for dinning ,and harvesters now do Take away at fantastic low prices.
A special thanks to our waitress Maria who looked after and advised us so well from start to finish, advising us on sauces and sides that made our meal perfect, a real credit to Harvesters .
Pre-booking is advisable during busy periods especially Lunchtimes and for take away service call ahead and reserve your food ready for your collection.
