Disney Live Mickey’s Magic Show

The production features excellent illusions that are well presented. As one would expect, there are dancers, musical numbers, excellent lighting and great props and sets. It’s a professional, high-level production that lives up to standards of Disney and the art of magic.

The show has been clearly designed towards younger children with short attention spans. Brad and Benny are a great double act and fantastic Magicians with zany, wacky and over-the-top personas of Saturday morning television hosts. I recommend the show for pre-school children up to 10 years also for the big kids at heart so the show is great for families.

At the morning show that I attended, the crowd was filled with excited young children all waving Disney Magic wands or wearing Mickey hats it really was a great site to see.

The illusions are well designed, lit and executed; the show features the usual cast of Disney characters: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy, as well as Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Jasmine, Belle and Snow White. A running theme is Benny’s attempt to learn and perform magic. As Minnie says to Benny, “Never give up...everyone has magic inside of them.” And as you would expect--this is a Disney production--Benny does rise to the task.’ Never Give Up’ a great lesson for any child to learn.

The first half of the show features Disney set pieces and songs and creative adaptations of classic illusions, while the second half, after intermission, features more sequences where the illusionists competently perform stage standards such as linking rings, sawing in half and metamorphosis.

The show featured comedy, singing, dancing, magic beautiful costumes and set design. For my Nephew this was the first time he had seen Disney characters up close and he was glued to his seat for the whole show.
During the interval the children excitedly made their way to the lavish stalls set up in the lobby.

There were some fantastic Disney goodies for sale but I must point out rather highly priced especially if you have more than one child to buy for. Popcorn was on sale for £7.00, Snow Cones £8.00 which I purchased as they came in a stunning Mickey Mouse cup that we now use to eat ice-cream out of.

Light up toys were on sale which were hugely popular but were heavily priced between £12.00 and £14.00
After seeing Mickey’s magic show I will defiantly be visiting The Motor point arena again in the very near future to be swept away by the Disney Magic.
A great treat for your little Disney fans
