I love Panto Season so when I was invited to see Cinderella
at the Alhambra Theater in Bradford I was very excited.
This was my first visit here since I was a child so it was a
perfect opportunity to take my two children and a great chance to see a pantomime
again with my mum both as Adults this time.
When we arrived at the stunning Alhambra theater Santa was
there to give gifts to all the children which was a really special touch and
with only a few days before Christmas excitement was already growing with the
children.
We were shown to our seats which had a fantastic view of the
stage and were very excited for the Pantomime to begin.
Cinderella has everything Fun, Laughter, Excitement, Romance
and more laughter than any other Pantomime I had seen.
My mum and I laughed so hard especially by Billy Pearce who
plays Buttons, He had us in hysterics. My sides were hurting with the amount of
Giggles we had.
The Pantomime was so polished with special effects that
normally would be found on film sets.
I will not spoil anything by telling you what the special
effects are I will leave that for you to find out for yourself.
Lynda Bellingham played the perfect Fairy Godmother with
great jokes and Charisma.
Cinderella and Prince Charming played by Hannah Grover and
Christopher Drake played fantastic parts with such great stage presence and
amazing singing voices.
Dandini, the Ugly sisters and Baron Hard up all kept us
highly entertained throughout the show.
The show had all the
magic and feel of a Traditional Pantomime from when I was a child with the
young dancers on stage and the Shetland ponies pulling the magical Pumpkin
Coach and of course Billy Pearce.
Whilst Cinderella has kept its Tradition it is also really
up to date with breath-taking special effect which has made Cinderella the most
spectacular and greatest pantomime of all time!
After the show we were treated to one last Magical treat, as
we left the Alhambra the theater actually made it snow.
So realistically that I actually believed it was snowing and
did start to panic about the condition on the roads. It was magical I didn’t
even experience this much magic when I visited Disneyland Paris at Christmas
only a week before, they didn’t make it snow!
After the initial shock it was fun watching other people’s
reactions when they left and seeing children running around catching the snowflakes
and screeching with laughter.
I urge anyone young or old to see this magical Pantomime
which is in Town until Sunday the 3rd February 2013.
Take your family for some quality time together and have so
much fun.
